Role purpose

If you are a recent graduate, this internship offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various HR roles and develop essential skills for a career in human resources. As an intern, you will be involved in day-to-day activities and contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing their business operations. 

Duties and responsibilities

  • You will gladly assist the people function with administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, preparing documentation, and managing correspondence.
  • You will support data analysis and HR reporting to provide valuable insights for decision-making.
  • You will help gather and organize HR data and metrics, including staff satisfaction surveys, recruiting data, and staff turnover rates, to facilitate analysis.
  • You will take part in implementing HR programs aimed at enhancing workplace culture and improving employee satisfaction.
  • You will ensure that HR databases and employee records are meticulously maintained and accurately updated.
  • You will oversee the proper completion and filing of all onboarding paperwork.
  • You will organize, make accessible, and securely store employee records in electronic file systems.
  • You will ensure that record-keeping practices comply with legal and corporate regulations.
  • You will facilitate communication among staff members across the organization.
  • You will contribute to various HR projects, offering support in the research, analysis, and implementation phases.
  • You will explore ways to enhance HR workflows and processes and provide suggestions to increase productivity and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • You should have completed at least a first degree or Higher National Diploma from a recognized and accredited university. 
  • You should also possess exceptional proficiency in both oral and written English. 
  • While a bachelor's degree in business administration or human resources is desirable, it is not mandatory.
